Just a quick note to say we'll be closing up the BackerKit store in a few hours, so if you want to get in to add any extras or make a preorder, now's your chance!

There's still a handful of people who haven't completed their surveys, so please do if you haven't yet.

Once we close the BackerKit, everyone will be charged for shipping/extras, but you'll be able to change your address.

Ps. As a reward for reading the boring update here's a sneak preview of the Adventure Collection Guidebook cover illustration.

BackerKit Closing Soon

Hello mousey friends! Just a quick update to say that we'll be closing the BackerKit preorder store and locking surveys in just a few days!

There's still a handful of people (73 to be precise) who haven't answered their shipping surveys yet. If this is you, please complete it ASAP! If you haven't received a survey, please get in contact with us and we'll try to sort it out.

If you have already completed your shipping survey, thank you! Just sit back and wait for busy little mice to bring books and boxes to you early next year. You'll still be able to update your address once we've closed the preorder store.

Adventure Collection Update

All but one of the adventures have now been playtested, and we've made all the required post-playtest edits to make sure each of the adventures in the Collection plays smoothly and is lots of fun for everyone. This week be sending off the adventures to be proofread to ensure they're clear, consistent, and as free as humanly possibly from typos.

We've been also working on the map and guidebook to The Estate that'll tie all the adventures together. We've got a great set of factions, tables of hooks and a beutiful map for your mice to dive into an explore. I can't wait to see this on my table at full poster size.

Hello everyone! One month has passed since the last update, so here we are reporting back. Work continues as planned and everything is on track. It's by now widely known that the international supply-chain disruptions are wreaking havoc across countless industries worldwide - games/books included - but we are still confident we will be able to deliver on time. If something happens, we will let you know. 

"So, what's the status?"

•  Adventures: all modules have been written, illustrated and laid out, except for one - we are currently waiting for the author to deliver the manuscript. All others have a solid, completely playable version at this point.
•  Playtesting: this is where we're at, essentially. 8 out of the 10 completed modules have been playtested at least once, some twice or more. we will continue with more playtesting over the course of the next 3-4 weeks so as to make final tweaks and adjustments. Then we shall pass the adventures on for a final proof-reading round.
•  Adventure Collection booklet: we have a first draft! the booklet will have 8 pages, including cover. it will have (1) a nice map in the form of a hexcrawl with descriptions/encounters/rumours, (2) a detail of the mouse settlement of Brickport with several locations, events, jobs and more, and (3) a final spread detailing connections between modules, factions and other known settlements in The Estate. 

"So, what's missing?"

•  Map: finish the player-facing map of The Estate. 
•  Covers: finish the cover for the campaign booklet + adventure collection box. 
•  Cards: work on the inventory cards (items and conditions) for the new modules. 
•  Proof-reading: a final round on the entire product line.

This should be doable in November, which means sending print-ready files in December to our printers. We have already secured a production slot for early January, so if paper and colours don't run short (which is what happening right now!!), we will be able to deliver in February/March.

Just a quick reminder: we have about 95% completed surveys/pledges at this point. This means there are still 5% of you who haven't replied. Please do, or we won't be able to send you your Mausritter goodies.

Not a huge amount to report in this update, but wanted to let you all know where we're at and what we've been up to.

BackerKit progress

First off, thank you to everyone who has completed your Backerkit survey! That's now 87% of backers, from 967 cities around the world! If you haven't completed your survey yet, please do. And if you haven't received one, please let us know and we'll resend it.

Just a reminder too that if you missed the Kickstarter, or have friends who did, the preorder store is now open on BackerKit too. 

Adventures, collected

We're still working away on finishing the adventure collection, collecting final art from the authors, and getting it all into the layouts. We've now completed the rough layout and edit passes of all of the ten adventures (barring the final stretch-goal adventure), and have received most of the final art from the creators, so now we're moving on to play-testing and polishing phase!

Shop talk

This week we've also locked in production dates with the factories that will be producing the books, adventures and boxes.

They'll be packing up the finished box sets and adventure collections in January, so we're still on track to deliver early next year.

Big news in this update!

BackerKit is Live

First off, the BackerKit is now live. We've sent out surveys to all backers. 800 people have already answered, so lets keep it going. Please answer these promptly so we can make sure you get your rewards! 

Important note: The GM Tracking Sheet will be included by default in the Box Set new printing — this addon is intended for people who have the first edition Box Set and want to complete it with the tracker. You don't need to add it to get it if you've backed the Box Set!

Secondly, we've had a few messages from people who missed the Kickstarter, but still want to get their paws on a Box Set or Adventure Collection. Good news! The BackerKit is also open as a preorder store to everyone, even if you didn't back the kickstarter! Check it out here.

We won a Gold ENNIE Award!

Finally, the Mausritter Box Set has won a Gold ENNIE Award for Best Family Game/Product! Thank you so much to everyone who voted, shared the word and supported Mausritter! We're so honoured and humbled to see all the love people have for this little game. It absolutely wouldn't have been possible without the amazing Mausritter community either. Big shoutouts to everyone who's been involved in creating Mausritter content, running jams, and generally making the community a great and welcoming place to be.
