Vote for Mausritter in the ENNIE Awards
over 2 years ago – Wed, Aug 25, 2021 at 03:36:20 PM

ENNIEs voting is open!

Voting is open for the 2021 ENNIE Awards, and I'm excited to say that Mausritter has been nominated for Best Family Game / Product!

We can't win it without your vote. The competition is fierce, so please make sure you vote 1 for Mausritter.

Voting in the ENNIEs is ranked choice, so rank your favorite products in each category number from 1 (the best) to 5. You don't have to fill all the votes though, so if you don't know or don't like a product, just leave it off the ballot, since any votes will improve its place.

An important note: The ENNIE awards accidentally deleted their first day of voting results, so if you've already voted, please try again!

Once you've voted for Mausritter, take a moment to give a vote to our friends too!

Mausritter actual play

Yesterday I joined the fine folks from Plus One Exp to run a Mausritter game. I ran a stripped-down version of Amanda Franck's amazing adventure The Wizard of Arms and Armour, which is part of the new Adventure Collection! If you want to get a better idea of how Mausritter plays in practice, or want to get a sneak preview of whats in store for the brave mouse adventurers who delve into the Adventure Collection, give it a watch!

Streaming Mausritter with Plus One Exp
over 2 years ago – Sun, Aug 22, 2021 at 07:34:26 AM

If you haven't played Mausritter before and want to get an idea of how it plays, I'll be running a game with the folks from Plus One Exp tomorrow!

Join us on Twitch from 8pm ET on the 18th (10am AEST on the 19th for me!) for some sword-and-whiskers adventure! If you can't make the stream, the game will be available on their youtube later.

Hope to see you there!

Another Stretch Goal down
over 2 years ago – Thu, Aug 19, 2021 at 01:53:10 PM

Thank you so much for these incredible (and intense!) 24 hours. We at Games Omnivorous are extremely  humbled by your massive support and would like to thank each and every one of you. Less than one day into the campaign, and we've just smashed our third Stretch Goal!

This means we shall have another Adventure Site in the Collection. Which will be adventure number 11 (!). We are very pleased to say that this will be written and illustrated by none other than Nate Treme. Nate is an illustrator, musician and game designer based in Louisiana (USA). He is a 2020 ENNIE winner with Tunnel Goons and best known for his minimalist modules and fantastic artwork.

His adventure will be called Science & Sorrow and will take place in a slimy cavern occupied by former lab mice, who arrived there during a cosmic event called The Great Flushing.

Please welcome Nate to the cast!

Two hours in, two stretch goals down!
over 2 years ago – Mon, Aug 16, 2021 at 04:14:43 PM

At just over two hours into the campaign, we've already knocked out two of our planned stretch goals!

Firstly, we'll be able to print more of the books, Box Sets and Adventure Collections than we need for just the Kickstarter campaign — this means we'll be able to make Mausritter available in stores around the world for hopefully a good long time.

Secondly, we'll be able to include more support materials with the Adventure Collection. We'll be including a nice big player-facing map of the Estate, and match the colors of the Item cards included with the Collection to the adventures where they are found. Both tools to help running games with the Adventure Collection easier at the table, and more fun for players!

Thank you so much for all the support so far! More updates to come soon.

Already FUNDED!
over 2 years ago – Mon, Aug 16, 2021 at 04:13:52 PM

Wow! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported this project and helped us fund in 13 MINUTES!

We’re really really grateful for the love and support. It’ll give us the power to deliver an amazing game to you.

I’m especially excited to share more of the adventures over the coming few days, weeks and months. Work on Adventure Collection has been in progress for the last six months, and the authors and illustrators are making something really special for you all. Pulling it together into a cohesive whole that also speaks with the voices of the individual creators has been a real labour of love, but I think you’re going to really enjoy what we’ve got in store.

Check back soon for more!
